About the CCIA The California Court Interpreters Association (CCIA) is a non-profit organization dedicated to advancing the standards of court interpreting and furthering the interests of the profession. It was founded in 1971, and now has chapters throughout California, as well as members-at-large in many states of the Union and in other countries. Nearly 800 members provide the various court systems plus the medical and business communities with expert interpreting and translating in approximately 70 languages and dialects. Membership in the CCIA is open to all those employed in, interested in, or concerned with the profession of court interpreting.
